Atlas EPS Helps with Neighborhood Park Playground Renovation
Byron Center, MI − May 20, 2001 −
elaborate playground structure designed by local children was installed in less than six hours. Other improvements and additions included a butterfly garden, resurfacing of the basketball courts, new wooden planters, benches and picnic tables, and the spreading of more than 200 cubic yards of mulch.
According to Kaboom!, four out of five children don’t have a safe park within walking distance of their homes. This situation leads to what they<
call “The Play Deficit,” a lack of adequate outdoor play that can lead to a host of physical, social and intellectual of ills.
Thanks for the involvement of the volunteers and businesses, approximately 600 local West Michigan children now have a great place to
play safely for years to come.
